Nas Is Still A "Nigger"

Nas' new album cover has just surfaced and while it is no longer called "Nigger" (it is self-titled) he is still giving off the same message.

Damn you Al Sharpton, you may be getting mad but Nas is simply trying to get a message out to America and you have to speak in the same language as the people you are trying to relay it to. And for the record, Nas is still my NIGGER!

kanYe's Back At It

So after further consideration and the much talked about "Flashing Lights" video, kanYe West has released his 3rd video:

I really love kanYe for taking it where no other artist in no other genre of music takes it. He's not so "record label programmed", although I don't think that's an option with 'Ye over there at Roc-A-Fella.

kanYe West "Flashing Lights"- Again

I guess at some point kanYe West actually sat down and watched the Flashing Lights video and decided to do a second version:

To be honest I really like it and not to mention kanYe is the only person in hip hop that is taking risks with his music, image, videos and any thing else that would factor in your success

Damn Rocsi!

50 Cent is beefing with another female. This time it's our favorite- well not favorite- 106 & park host Rocsi. I guess Fiddy just caught wind, and peeped the video of Rocsi calling his album garbage a whie back. According to 50, Rocsi is mad because he ain't invite her to his amusement park. He says she has had sex with 4 guys he knows in the industry, all of whom have been to 106 and he did not want to have sexual relations with shorty.

Damn Rocsi! I met her and I actually think she is a pretty sweet girl, very respectful too but I guess when you "know" you just "know".

I wonder whats gonna happen the next time he stop's by 106... perhaps a celebrity co-host replacing her? We'll see

Peep the video of Rocsi calling his album garbage:

*sigh* so much drama so little time

M.I.A. on XXL

So I guess the last time we would ever hear the South referred to as "the segregated south" was back in THOSE days. The music industry heavy-weights are forming a unified front down there and they are covering the July issue of XXL. Trina, DJ Khaled, Flo-Rida and Ricky Ross are all on the cover and of course they put the Boss up front.

I love this whole unity thing the south has going on... maybe my city (New York) should give it a try

Make sure you pick up and issue and see what their saying... I'll be sure to get quotes soon

Whatchu Say Fiddy??

Okay so 50 Cent may not be the nicest rapper but he is a damn good father, you have to admit that much, where ever you see the rapper you see his little mini-me. He went to court today to have his baby mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, his son Marquise and her daughter with another man out of his Long Island home. After she demanded a $50, 000 a month child support fee and it got drastically chopped down to $6, 700, the judge allowed her to say with 50 as long as she used the checks to look for an apartment and 50 believes she is not doing that so he wants her and the children out.... Tompkin's lawyer said the eviction would be impossible being that his client is technically not a resident, she doesn't pay rent and there is no lease and the children attend school in the district.... Ok now, I'm getting mad for him

Jay-Z's Made Bank... again

One of the richest men in rap is about to get richer, here's how Associated Press is reporting it:
"Jay-Z is close to reaching a $150 million deal with Live Nation Inc. that will give the concert promoter a stake in virtually every aspect of the rapper and entrepreneur's career.

The contract covers Jay-Z's music and music-related businesses for the next 10 years, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal reported on their Web sites late Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the agreement.

As part of the arrangement, Jay-Z would get a $25 million upfront payment, plus advance payments of $10 million per album for a minimum of three albums and $25 million toward concert tours. The company would also pay $20 million in exchange for publishing, licensing and other rights.

Live Nation was also expected to commit $50 million to finance Jay-Z's investments and his entertainment venture, to be called Roc Nation, which is expected to include his own record label, music publishing, talent consulting and managing projects.

"I've turned into the Rolling Stones of hip-hop," Jay-Z told the Times.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, plans to leave Def Jam for the deal, but not with out giving his longtime record label one more studio album.

He was president of Def Jam for three years but stepped down in December because he and the label's corporate parent, Universal Music Group, could not agree on a new contract."

I know Kim is somewhere tryna Google this chic right now

I see Diddy made room for the big girls. I mean usually he did his thing whether Kim is in the picture or not but I see what he meant when he said he needed his 'space'..... Don't hurt nobody

Kanye West Travels

So the Louis Vuitton Don is flexing his brand and have launched a travel site called Kanye Travel Ventures. The site offers hotel, air, travel packages, tickets & attractions and cruises. You can visit this site at www.kanyetravel.com .... Hey can't knock the hustle

Weezy Covers VIBE

Lil Wayne is covering this month's issue of VIBE, in the issue he speaks about his addiction to syrup, his lifestyle, his music, the legacy he wants to leave, life & death, and gaining respect as an artist. Pick up this month's issue to get the full story on the (second) best rapper alive... The dude can rap but he sounds like an IDIOT, I can't take it anymore, seriously I can't.
